Getting Started - Setting your CueStart page as your browser homepage

We highly recommend that you set your start page as your browser homepage to provide you with a great launchpad every time you open your web browser.

Please note that you should only do this for computers that YOU are the primary user of (such as at work and at home). Don't do this in an Internet cafe, for example, otherwise strangers will be able to view your start page if you don't log off.

Another thing to note is that you don't need to log off from your start page when you have finished using the Internet. If you do so you will be asked to log in every time you visit your start page. This is great if you are concerned about others accessing your page, but it's inconvenient if you are the only person that uses the computer.

Below are the instructions for setting your start page as your browser homepage.

Firefox

  1. Go to your start page
  2. In the browser menu, select Tools -> Options
  3. A pop up menu will then appear. Select the Main tab (far left) if it hasn't already been selected
  4. For the homepage option, input your start page URL. To do this you can make your you are at your start page at the time and click on the 'Current Pages' button, or you can copy and paste your start page URL from the navigation panel on your browser. Your start page URL will look something like http://www.cuestart.com/startpage/display?id=XXX where XXX represents your start page ID number.
  5. Click on the Okay button and you're done!
  6. Click on the home icon on your browser to make sure it worked.
