Our Privacy PolicyCueStart is firmly committed to the privacy of its members. This privacy policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions. How does CueStart use the user account information that I provide? When you sign up for a CueStart account we ask for the following information:
By enabling our advertisers to target visitor types we can display advertising that is more relevant to you, while enabling our advertisers to run more effective campaigns. At the end of an advertising campaign, our advertisers have the ability to view click through statistics broken down by user-type. For example the click through ratios for males vs. females, 18-25 year olds vs. 26-35 year olds, etc. Your individual details, however, are never disclosed. If you click on an advertising link, we would record the fact that, say, a 32 year old female from Canada clicked on the advertising link, but we don't record the fact that you viewed and clicked on the link. We will never sell or give away your personal information to a third party, including our advertisers, unless we are required to by law. Use of the 'Tell a Friend' FormWhen you use the 'tell a friend' form to refer your friends to or service, we record a portion of your friends' email addresses. For example, if you send an email to bobjones@cuestart.com, we record the address as ****ones@cuestart.com. This is done to help prevent abuse of the referral service by malicious users. After 90 days your friends' partially recorded email addresses are deleted from our system. Do you record visitor IP addresses?Yes. Your IP address is recorded when you sign up for a member account. It is also recorded when you log into your account and when you refer a friend to our service using the friend referral form. We record IP addresses to monitor any possible abuse of our system by malicious users. We will never disclose logged IP addresses to a third party unless we are required to by law. What are cookies and does CueStart use them?A cookie is a small piece of data stored on a visitor's local computer drive, and is used by the website to identify that user. Cookies can only be accessed by the website that created it. CueStart uses cookies to keep track of user login sessions as well as to keep track of the identity of a visitor's referrer. Once a member logs out of their CueStart account using the Log Out link the session cookie is deleted from their computer. Once a user creates a member account, the referrer cookie (if it exists) is deleted from their computer. If a user does not sign up for an account, the referrer cookie is deleted within 30 days. Links to Other WebsitesCueStart contains links to third party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policy of these websites.
