How does CueStart use the user account information that I provide?

When you sign up for a CueStart account we ask for the following information:

  • Email address
  • Country
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender

Your email address is used to identify yourself when you log into your CueStart account. Your country, gender, and date of birth are used to help determine the nature of the advertising that is displayed to you. For example we would not typically display gambling advertising to a child, a handbag advertisement to a male, or an Australian shopping ad to someone living in France.

Your country is also used to determine the default content that is installed on any new channel you add to your CueStart page.

We will never sell or give away your personal information to a third party, including our advertisers, unless we are required to by law.

Use of our 'Tell a Friend' Form

When you use the 'tell a friend' form to refer your friends to or service, we do not record your friends' names or email addresses. Nor do we record your name.

Do you record visitor IP addresses?

Yes. Your IP address is recorded when you sign up for a member account. It is also recorded when you log into your account and when you refer a friend to our service using the friend referral form.

We record IP addresses to help monitor any possible abuse of our system by malicious users. We will never disclose logged IP addresses to a third party unless we are required to by law.

If a user does not sign up for an account, the referrer cookie is deleted by your computer within 30 days. User preference cookies last for 7 days before they are deleted by your computer.
